Vickie is incredibly knowledgeable and talented; she has performed in a number of stregnth training competitions herself.

Trainers Frank Young and Vickie Shaw taught our Barbell Class in June. We focused on the bench press and the deadlift. We all walked away a bit more confident and connected.

Staff Spotlight: Vickie has worked in the drug and alcohol treatment field for years and has the ability to make everyone feel safe and welcome. Be sure to check out one of her classes this month!

Member spotlight: We want to give a shout out to FTR member, Mario McLaughlin, for his consistency, his incredibly hard work ethic, and his willingness to always help and connect with others.

Mario amazes us all with his strength, heart, and persistence!

Women's Group

Vickie leads the women's only workout on Thursday at 6:30, followed by a women's processing group, as well as many other morning and afternoon classes. She has done a great job of making women feel comfortable in their skin and feel less intimidated by weights!

Looking back helps us to keep looking forward!

This photo was taken before our very first Bootcamp.

Since 2014, bootcamp has been bringing people in recovery together to connect through fitness. We guarantee you will leave feeling better than you came.

Look for our Saturday Bootcamp to move to Sugar House Park July 6th! See you there at 10am.
